It's been a long bank holiday weekend for the Vectis hamsters (and me!). The Cheshire show is the furthest one we've been to so far but was enjoyable. I was staying overnight and I only took 4 hamsters to show as I needed to take their cages as well. Bella the Syrian hamster came for the display day.
Show day was wet but I was book stewarding so spent a lot of the time in the hamster tent. I did get dripped on during a particularly heavy downpour when the tent sprang a leak. My four did ok, and ended up mid-table. Not the best results, but still some prize cards. The highest main class placing was 4th. I think I've got some work to do before the London Championships next weekend.
The display day started out very wet, but the sun (and the wind) came out later in the day. It was pretty busy all day with lots of people coming to see the hamsters. Bella was out in the play box several times, but had plenty of time to rest in her cage. After all their hard work, all the hamsters got treats when they got home.
Now to prepare for the next show.....!
